About the site

Vinyl Generation is a collectors database for punk and hardcore vinyl from around the world. The site is still under development and will be for some time as it's currently a one man project!

The site has grown from the ashes of the old Scumville database of UK and Irish punk and hardcore records which has been largely integrated into the new site.

Much more is coming in the future!

Vinyl Generation supports Open Source!

Open source fits in perfectly with punk ethics. Vinyl Generation is built entirely on open source software (everthing from the server operating system to the frontend software and the frameworks). In time the Vinyl Generation source code will be opened-up for public use.
